"The other side of sanity" -K.West

Sometimes I can't help but notice random trends in pop music. Between Katy Perry's ET and GaGa's Born this way, it's quite clear that being different, strange, crazy, eccentric, exotic and/or a total freak is totally chic and in style. So...Um......
FINALLY and YAY!

I'm tired of all those super cool, "glam life" rock stars. The hardest part about being a DJ is cutting through the crowd's pretenses. Getting people to just loosen up takes a lot of work and alcohol. It's sad because at the end of the night, the only thing they have to do is be themselves!

Stalk Me

About a month ago I posted a short piece where I talked about 'DJ groupies' and alluded to them being 'stalkers'. After a series of events which included a very kind and supportive email from a stranger and a conversation with one of my girlfriends, I realized that this post was kind of lame. The truth is, I'd be honored to have a stalker. Well no.. not really, but the point is, the fact that there are people who come out to hear me play records and love the way I do it, is pretty amazing and I think it is an honor to have the support!
xo

There is a flyer for an up and coming gig in BK on Friday April 29th below.
This Saturday I'm doing a private event till 10pm at Avenue but will prolly hang after.

Friday May 13th at at Arena for a late night set.

Please, be my guest and "stalk me" :)

My Birthday

A couple of weeks ago I celebrated my Bday and thought I'd share a few photos from the festivities. It was a wonderful evening. My girlfriends joined me for a dinner party at Lavo, an Italian restaurant and lounge located in midtown Manhattan. Between the great food, and performance by The Gypsie Kings, I do believe it was a great way to bring in a new year!

From Midtown to WBurg: Up and Coming Gigs

Sorry peeps, haven't been so good with staying on top of my blog and keeping you in the loop lately.
On Tuesday I will be spinning for the launch of a new Food Network show at Arena and on Friday I will be spinning for the screening of an indie film in Williamsburg.

RSVP to both or either if you'd like to come by:)
