It's hard to believe that it has already been 5 years since ODB passed away from an overdose. It's even harder believe that it has been almost 20 years since Wu -Tang clan debuted with 'Enter the Wutang' (36 Chambers). Actually it has been 17years to be exact but 20 just sounded more dramatic and speaking of drama, ODB was the king of theatrics. Between his countless run-ins with the law, his countless (unprotected) sex partners which lead to over a dozen children and his extreme drug and psychiatric issues, people were always talking about this guy. Some may argue that his notoriety were really based on the above issues and not really based on his music. I remember hearing stories of ODB performing at a show and then having to run off the stage because the cops were chasing him. The guy was totally insane and his music was just a reflection of his personal issues.
To honor the 5th year anniversary of his death his family is releasing a DVD and compilation of his music. The DVD seems like it will probably be a little more entertaining than the music.
